Welcome to the Art in TL 2023, Yayoi Kusama art exhibition. We are thrilled to showcase the works of this iconic contemporary artist, whose mesmerizing patterns and bold colors have captivated audiences around the world.

The Exhibition was held on 1st March, 2023 (Wednesday) in our school hall in order to let our students know more about renowned artist Yayoi Kusama and her works. The Aesthetic Department and Art society collaborated on a series of activities such as True Vision TV programme, a shrinkable film keychain lunch workshop, a quiz game as well as a guided tour for our kindergarten, primary to secondary students.

Kusama was born in Japan in 1929 and has been creating art for over 60 years. Her work spans a wide range of mediums, including painting, sculpture, and installations. Throughout her career, Kusama has explored themes of infinity, polka dots (圓點), and the cosmos, creating a unique artistic language that is instantly recognizable.

This exhibition features a selection of some of the Kusama’s impressive works from the Love Forever series, created between 2004-2007, is one of the Kusama’s most famous and enduring works. It is characterized by the use of repetitive patterns, and a whimsical, childlike aesthetic.

The events were well received by our students, parents, alumni, and guests. Don’t forget to check out the reflections by our Art society committee members.

Last but not least, We would like to thank you Alpha Enterprise LTD.

We couldn’t have organized this exhibition without the generous support of Alpha Enterprise LTD, which, believing that art can benefit society greatly, has begun to collaborate with schools to showcase corporate art collections since 2022.
