On a vibrant evening filled with anticipation, the official Opening Ceremony of the 15th TLamp Mentorship Programme successfully brought together an enthusiastic community of alumnae and current S4 plus S5 students on Sep 19. Designed to highlight the vital importance of bonding, networking and foster lifelong personal growth, the event served as a bridge connecting past and future True Light generations.
The Ceremony, kicked off with inspiring opening remarks delivered by the Vice Principal and the Chairlady of the Programme, promoted a mutual understanding between mentors and mentees of how strategic guidance provided by our alumni and shared experiences can accelerate a student’s journey towards personal and career success. Following the formal introduction, the atmosphere shifted to a warm, celebratory gathering as attendees enjoyed a buffet. Over great food, mentors and mentees engaged in spontaneous, meaningful conversations, effortlessly breaking the ice and establishing meaningful connections.
The energy in the room reached its peak during the interactive table games. A lively game of Bingo sparked friendly competition and laughter across the tables, further strengthening the coherent bonding between the alumni and students. By blending structured networking with lighthearted socialization, the 15th TLamp Opening Ceremony did more than just launch a programme; it successfully cultivated a supportive, collaborative community dedicated to mutual growth, setting an optimistic and empowering tone for the mentorship journey ahead this year.
On the same day afternoon, the 14th TLamp Mentorship Programme Closing Ceremony was also successfully held. Following a mentee representative’s heartfelt expression of gratitude to the mentors for their unwavering dedication, the mentors and mentees jointly made a star-shaped handicraft. Artfully designed to echo our school motto – Thou Art the Light of the World – the artifact serves as a poignant reminder that while the 14th programme has officially drawn to a close, the enduring connection between our True Light alumnae and their younger sisters will never fade but does always remain a perpetual source of guidance, inspiration, and brilliance.
