Shining a Light on Sight: Orbis Student Ambassador Fundraising Campaign 2025-2026
This year, 8 passionate girls from Forms 4 and 5 joined the ORBIS Student Ambassador Fundraising Campaign in the light of paving a bright future for the visually impaired around the world.
Their fundraising event was held on 14th February, 2026, during our school’s Parents Day. With spirited enthusiasm and exuberant excitement in the team, and tremendous support from our schoolmates, parents, and teachers, they successfully held a charity product sale on this joyous day.
The highlight of the event was the charity sale, featuring a beautiful collection of products entirely designed and prepared by our students. The items included promotional files, keychains, hand-braided phone ropes, pins, and acrylic paper clips. Each product carries the hope that every one of us can appreciate the gift of sight and pay more attention to the needs of the visually impaired.
For instance, the student-designed promotional file features a powerful metaphor: a closed eye symbolizing avoidable blindness, overlaid with a magnifying glass that represents the precise, life-changing medical interventions provided by Orbis. Furthermore, the beautiful phone ropes were carefully braided to intertwine the signature blue and yellow of True Light with the blue and white of Orbis, symbolizing our school’s strong connection and commitment to this global mission.
Our fundraising activity has come to a fruitful end. A heartfelt thank you to all schoolmates, parents, and teachers who have shown support to make this meaningful event a tremendous success.
