Time to Talk Public Speaking Competition 25-26
Four of our students – 2C Look Hey Yau Yoyo, 2C Sin Ho Tin Alison, 3B Cheng Hiu Tung Racy and 3D Wong Tsz Ching Cathy – took part in “Time to Talk” Public Speaking Competition 25-26 organized by the NET Section of the Education Bureau on 6th May 2026. The competition involved teams of two to four students from different schools giving presentations inspired by English songs. Under intense competition, the compelling duologue of Yoyo and Alison from our S2 team has earned them the First Place. It is the very first time our students have got this honour. Congratulations to our girls for their outstanding achievement!
Throughout the year, our students have been involved in other English public speaking events.
HKFYG Public Speaking Contest 2026
We are thrilled to celebrate the eloquent voices of our students in the HKFYG English Public Speaking Contest 2026, the Hong Kong’s premier platform for fostering leadership and persuasive communication. A total of five S3 students represented our school to take part in the competition in January 2026. 3C Seona Lee was shortlisted to compete in the District Semi-finals at the HKFYG Leadership Institute in Fanling on 7 March 2026. We also appreciate the efforts of our District Preliminary round participants: 3B Luna Ho and 3B Stephanie Leung earning the Certificates of Good Performance, while 3B Ashley Tai and 5A Syeda Nimra Imran attaining the Certificates of Participation. Their courage to speak up in public is truly the “Light” of our school which keeps inspiring us!
Creative Speech Competition 25-26
We are thrilled to share the news that 1D Lai Tsz Yu Emi participated in Creative Speech Competition 25-26 organized by HKEdCity as a finalist on 25 April 2026. Emi proudly represented our school, delivering her speech with incredible confidence and creativity at the headquarters of HKEdCity in Shatin. The result will be announced in the prize giving ceremony to be held in late June. Please join me in congratulating her on this remarkable accomplishment.
