主題：中華文化有意思 —— 漢字之美

漢字不僅是言語思想的載體，更是連結古今的文化橋樑。本年度圖書館閱讀推廣以「中華文化有意思 —— 漢字之美」為核心，旨在帶領學生透過漢字閱讀與跨學科學習，探索文字背後積澱的文化底蘊，引導學生深化文化認同，建立堅實的文化自信。

目標與理念

• 字形美學與演變
  從甲骨文、金文到楷書，帶領學生探索文字由圖畫演變為符號的漫長過程，細細體會漢字結構中的幾何韻律與線條之美。
• 文化基因與智慧
  深入解析造字法（象形、指事、會意、形聲），引導學生理解漢字背後蘊含的人文思想、自然觀與古代哲學智慧。
• 深化文化自信
  透過字裡行間的歷史脈絡與故事，增強學生對中華優良傳統文化的認同感與自豪感，讓文化傳承落播於日常閱讀中。

This year, we hope everyone learns to deeply love yourself and freely share that same love with others.

迎戰 DSE 的路上，你從不是孤軍作戰！

為了讓中六同學明白「堅毅」與「同行」的力量，學校特意在 9 月 11 至 12 日舉辦了「兩日一夜堅毅同行營」，陪伴大家在備考前夕舒緩壓力，共同創造專屬於中六級的難忘回憶。

Day 1｜凝聚與歡笑

首日行程由緊張刺激的「校園遊蹤」揭開序幕，同學在分組競技中展現默契，深刻體會到溝通與協作的重要性。夜幕低垂，全級同學一起參與BBQ 晚會，在美食與暢談中拉近彼此距離。其後的「光影妙舞」環節，同學隨着音樂載歌載舞，在輕鬆歡樂的氛圍下盡情釋放壓力！

Day 2｜突破與感悟

次日學校特別邀請了校外機構帶領活動，同學在各項挑戰中互相扶持、突破自我，深刻體會到「同行」、「堅毅」並非口號，而是能支撐彼此走得更遠的力量。這份從競技中建立的信念，亦將成為大家迎接公開試的最佳裝備。在最後的分享環節，同學敞開心扉、真情流露，說到感觸之處更頻頻落淚，交織的淚水與笑聲成為了大家最深厚的情誼。

關關難過關關過，一個人可以走得很快，但一群人才能走得更遠 (If you want to go fast, go alone. If you want to go far, go together)。願中六同學帶着這份堅毅與愛，攜手跨過 DSE 難關，邁向屬於你們的廣闊未來！

本校公益少年團團員6A班鄧寳兒早前榮獲選拔，有幸參加由教育局主辦的「2026年公益少年團傑出團員韓國首爾交流團」。是次交流團行程緊湊而充實，團員除了體驗韓國 K-pop 舞蹈、韓服與傳統飲食文化外，更走訪韓國青少年交流中心、現代汽車工作室、首爾麻浦資源回收中心及清溪川，實地了解當地在文化推廣、綠色科技及智慧城市發展上的成果；團員亦深入 Dail Community 飯堂參與義工服務。在這次跨越地域的學習與服務中，鄧同學切實體現了真光「爾乃世之光」的校訓，將愛心與熱忱播灑異鄉。這不僅展現了真光女兒關懷社會、勇於擔當的精神，更以實際行動踐行公益少年團的服務理念，用真誠與同理心照亮他人，同時豐富了自己的心靈歷程。 

以下為鄧同學在完成交流團後的反思與感悟，一同分享她這趟兼具國際視野與心靈成長的豐富旅程：

這趟首爾之旅於我而言，是一場充滿未知與驚喜的冒險。旅途縱有波折，但正是這些意想不到的際遇，悄然重塑了我的性格與價值觀，帶給我無可比擬的豐盛收穫。

其一，是眼界的開闊與對綠色創新的深思。 帶着專題研習的任務，我們實地考察了首爾麻浦資源回收中心。最震撼我的，莫過於韓國高度普及的四色與五色回收網絡，以及精準度極高的 RFID 智能廚餘計量機。反觀香港，目前仍多停留在「綠在區區」等自願性質的起步階段，早前垃圾收費推行時亦面臨不少阻力。韓國強制且全面落實的政策，無疑是我們極佳的「他山之石」。香港若要邁向低碳永續的智慧城市，完善社區配套與深化公民教育，實在是不可或缺的基石。

其二，是性格的變革，一碗炸醬麵牽起的跨國友誼。 過去的我或許有些內斂，但這趟旅程卻徹底打開了我的心扉。最難忘是在傳統餐館品嚐炸醬麵時，一位韓國大叔竟主動搭話。更驚喜的是，他不但能用廣東話交流，還興致勃勃地展示他造訪香港鰂魚涌「怪獸大廈」的照片。菲林相機快門按下的瞬間，無聲地打破了國籍與語言的藩籬。原來，只要勇於跨出第一步，美好的緣分總會不期而遇。

其三，是超越語言的真誠連結。 行程中的義工體驗，讓我得以褪去「遊客」的旁觀者身分。我們深入 Dail Community 的飯堂，從切菜、派飯到清潔都親力親為，真正走入當地社群。服務期間我深切體會到，即使語言不通，但只要懷着真誠的微笑與熱忱，便能推倒文化的高牆。這次經歷讓我銘記於心——公益少年團所倡導的服務精神，從來不是居高臨下的施捨，而是人與人之間最純粹、最溫暖的同理心。活動後我們品嚐着自己烹調的簡單午膳，縱非山珍海味，心中的滿足感卻無與倫比。

最後，是學會擁抱不完美的青春。 常言道「天有不測風雲」，因颱風逼近，航班無奈取消，硬生生剝奪了一天半的行程。然而塞翁失馬，這份「不完美」反而成了我們最彌足珍貴的青春印記——正是因為時間陡然減少，大家才更懂得珍惜當下的每一分一秒。回程時，一位團友的行李箱竟不慎甩掉了兩個滾輪，看着她狼狽推拉的模樣，大家在街頭笑得東倒西歪。這些突如其來的插曲非但沒有減退興致，反而像無形的紐帶，把我們緊緊繫在一起。

這趟交織着歡笑與深刻反思的首爾之旅，讓我帶著更廣闊的視野、更自信的自己，以及一整袋無價的情誼滿載而歸。

We are delighted to share some wonderful news: our school has been crowned Champion of the Secondary (English) Division at the Preface “Debate for Tomorrow” Inter-School Debate Tournament 2026, a citywide competition to which 20 schools were invited!

On 18 July, the Grand Final was held at the spectacular Grand Stair, M+, with our school (Affirmative) facing Belilios Public School (Opposition) on the motion “This House believes that dependence on AI makes people less human.” The following is our Grand Final team:

Beyond becoming more confident speakers, our students gained deeper knowledge of AI and a greater awareness of its mindful use. They also treasured the rare opportunity to compete at such a large-scale event in an iconic venue of the city.

Congratulations to Our Young Innovators at the 2025–26 FIRST® LEGO® League Hong Kong Championship!

We are delighted to share that ten of our students represented the school with distinction at the 2025–26 FIRST® LEGO® League Hong Kong Championship, held on 11–12 July 2026 at AsiaWorld-Expo.

Competing alongside more than 320 teams from around the world — including South Korea, Morocco, Thailand and Italy — our students rose to the challenge across every category of the competition: the Robot Game, Innovation Project presentation, Robot Design presentation, and Core Values presentation. This season’s theme, “UNEARTHED,” invited participants to explore how technology can transform the field of archaeology, and our teams responded with creativity, curiosity and impressive technical skill.

We are proud to announce that one of our teams was awarded First Prize, while another team earned Second Prize — an outstanding achievement in such a competitive international field.

Beyond the results, both teams set up their own pit areas, where they exchanged ideas, shared design insights and built friendships with contestants from across the globe — a truly enriching addition to their STEAM learning journey.

We are delighted to share the exciting learning journey of our Secondary 1 (S1) students in their recent workshop, “Getting to Know AI: Generating a Four-Panel Comic.” This forward-thinking activity aimed to equip our youngest secondary students with essential digital literacy and artificial intelligence skills.

Highlights: Throughout the workshop, students engaged in a series of practical and interactive sessions designed to demystify AI technology. The core learning outcomes included:

• AI Literacy & Verification: Students learned critical thinking skills to distinguish between authentic photographs and AI-generated images.
• Prompt Engineering: Participants mastered the art of formulation, learning how to write precise, descriptive prompts to achieve desired visual outputs.
• Creative Execution: Applying their new skills, students successfully generated high-quality AI artwork to construct their own unique four-panel comic strips.
• Future Innovation: As a step forward, students were introduced to the fundamentals of integrating AI tools into game development.

This activity not only fostered technological competence but also sparked immense creativity and critical thinking among our S1 students. We are incredibly proud of their enthusiasm and the innovative mindsets they displayed.
