校園外有「樹頭菜」之稱的魚木近日再次盛放。每當看見那一簇簇茂密的黃白花朵綴滿枝頭，便知道我們的校慶即將到來。今年，適逢本校創校一百五十四周年暨在港建校九十一周年，我們滿懷感恩，誠意邀請您「回家」同慶，共沐主恩。慶典活動詳情如下：

一、 校慶感恩會

本校於2026年4月20-22日在舉辦「HELLO！故宮」大篷車進校園活動，該項目由故宮博物院主辦、公益慈善研究院獨家捐助、中國文化研究院協辦，將遠在二千公里外的北京故宮博物院珍貴文物，以科技化的創新設計，零距離、全方位地呈現在同學們眼前。全校同學由中國文化研究院專業導賞員帶領，透過車內的數字化裝置與實物模型探索故宮文化，包括「暢遊」《千里江山圖》和天子的宮殿、「製作」宮廷御膳、「穿搭」宮廷服飾、以VR 360度觀賞故宮角樓等。此外，在圖書館內更設有延伸活動，包括故宮文化圖書展覽，以及由學生精心設計的唐代歷史主題體驗活動。
此外，更得到團結香港基金總裁李正儀博士、中國文化研究院院長邱逸博士蒞臨參觀指導，期間我校的香港故宮學生文化大使向嘉賓分享參觀心得，表達了是次學習過程加深了對故宮建築的認識，並從專業導賞員身上增進其導賞技巧。

與此同時，我們更將這寶貴學習經驗，與本校小學部六年級學生分享。又邀請了灣仔區四所小學的學生前來參觀，近距離感受故宮建築與文物的魅力。

The True Light School of Hong Kong Model United Nations Conference

We are incredibly proud to announce the successful conclusion of our first-ever Model United Nations conference: TLHKMUN. Held on our school campus on Saturday, 18th April, the conference provided a wonderful platform for constructive discussion on the theme: Together for a Greener Tomorrow.

The two-committee conference brought together over 60 students. We were thrilled to welcome visiting delegates from over 14 different schools, who joined 16 of our own True Light girls from S1 to S4 for the day’s debates. It was inspiring to watch the students actively participate, collaborate with their peers, and develop their skills in diplomacy and leadership.

A special congratulations goes to our own MUN team: 4C Mavis Chan, 4C Chloe Chan, 4D Phoebe Sin, and 4D Anna Wong. They took on the monumental task of organizing and co-chairing the conference. Seeing how far they have come since their very first MUN experience last year has been nothing short of remarkable.

We were also honored to have Zoe and Gabriel from Utrecht University (UUMUN) join us as guest chairs. Their expertise elevated the conference, and we are excited that they will be staying with us to deliver specialized MUN workshops for our S4 girls in the coming week. 

A massive thank you to everyone involved who dedicated their time and energy to making this milestone event possible!

We are immensely proud to announce that our school has been honored with three prestigious accolades under the Sustainable Development School Award Programme (2024-25), organized by the Environment and Ecology Bureau HKSAR. These awards recognize our steadfast commitment to fostering environmental stewardship and social responsibility within our campus and beyond.

This year, our school’s dedication to a greener future has been recognized through the following honors:

• Sustainable Development Participation Award Acknowledging our school-wide involvement in promoting sustainable concepts and integrating them into our daily routines.
• Sustainable Development Community Project Award Commending our innovative outreach initiatives that have successfully brought the message of sustainability into the wider district.
• Devotion to Promotion of SD Honours Award A premier distinction reserved for schools that have secured the Community Project Award for three consecutive years. This “Honours” status is a testament to our long-term consistency and leadership in the field.

A Heartfelt Tribute to Our Team

These achievements would not have been possible without the tireless efforts of the Civic Education Association student committees. Their creativity and passion in championing the cause—ranging from campus-wide awareness campaigns to community-based activities—have been truly inspiring. 

Furthermore, we extend our deepest gratitude to the entire True Light School community. To our students, parents, and staff: thank you for taking action together. Whether it was reducing waste, conserving energy, or participating in our SD projects, your collective aspiration for a more sustainable lifestyle is what turned these goals into reality.

Civic Education Panel

We are proud to formally announce the establishment of the Student Flag Guards, a milestone in our school’s commitment to civic education and leadership development.

The formation of this team is more than a ceremonial addition to our campus; it is a platform for students to cultivate discipline, precision, and a profound sense of national identity. Through rigorous training in flag-raising protocols, our guards embody the values of responsibility and respect, serving as role models for their peers during our weekly assemblies and commemorative events.

By taking up this mantle, these students demonstrate a sophisticated understanding of their civic duties. We believe this initiative will further foster a culture of solemnity and pride within our school grounds, encouraging every student to reflect on their role within both the local community and the nation.

We look forward to witnessing the growth of our Flag Guards as they lead us in honoring our national symbols with the utmost dignity.

在2026年3月27日至30日，我校中二至中三地理科的同學參加了由教育局主辦的「省外行」內地交流計劃，前往廣西南寧展開為期四天的深度探索。是次旅程以「民族文化與地貌探索」為主題，引領同學走進素有「綠城」美譽的廣西，體驗邊陲風情與自然奇觀。

行程首日，我們首先來到南寧市內的「南湖公園」，在湖光水色中感受這座城市的生態規劃。第二天，同學們深入探索廣西的文化底蘊與地質奇貌，走訪了「廣西民族博物館」及「民族村」，近距離感受壯族等少數民族的建築與工藝魅力；隨後前往「伊嶺岩」，在宏偉的鐘乳石溶洞中見證大自然的鬼斧神工，並反思維護生態安全的重要性。

行程第三天，同學們來到「明仕田園」，乘坐傳統竹筏穿梭於翠竹繞岸的碧波之上，飽覽如詩如畫的「小桂林」山水景色，在悠然的氛圍中領悟人與自然和諧共生的意義。接著，我們前往橫跨中越兩國的「德天跨國大瀑布」。站在氣勢磅礴的瀑布前，同學們不僅被壯麗的自然景觀所震撼，更深入了解到跨境河流的地貌特徵以及國家在邊陲地區的環境保護責任。當晚，旅程迎來了溫馨而熱鬧的時刻——篝火晚會。同學們與當地民族同胞載歌載舞，在歡笑聲中深化了對民族融合的體會，也增進了師生間的情誼。這四天的旅程結合了自然科學與人文學習，不僅開闊了同學的視野，更增強了大家對守護國家文化與生態資源的責任感。 

以下是參與同學的心聲分享：

「在這天的行程中，我們見識了祖國山河的壯麗，德天大瀑布水流如萬馬奔騰，場面令人嘆為觀止。在晚會上，我們更感受到壯族同胞對民族文化的自豪。他們穿著傳統服飾，跳著傳統舞蹈，臉上燦爛的笑容讓我們感受到，這並非為了工作的『營利演出』，而是發自內心地希望將民族故事宣揚開去。這種對中華文化的歸屬感深深感染了我們，加深了我們對『多元一體』民族關係的尊重與欣賞。

壯族人以熱愛傳承文化瑰寶，啟發了我們在未來接觸不同文化時，不再只做旁觀者，而是要主動了解背後的故事與情感。透過與當地人交談、學習方言或嘗試傳統技藝，我們用行動表達尊重，讓民族文化的溪流匯聚成河，達致真正的文化共融。

在這趟旅程中，我們帶走的不僅是照片，更是一顆更真誠的心。未來在作出人生選擇時，我們定會回想起那座山、那片瀑布與那個熱情的民族，鼓勵自己活出更開闊、更有溫度的人生。」

我校中文辯論隊於本學年3月28日應皇仁書院的邀請，參加其校慶開放日的中辯表演賽，辯題為「單性別學校對學生發展利大於弊」（我方為正方）。台上同學為1A單頌堯、2B盧月皚、4B吳晞彤及4A黃晞桐。我隊和友校同學就辯題作出一番激烈討論，彼此切磋較量，隊員們都獲益良多，對辯題有更深入的了解。

We are proud to announce that our students achieved outstanding success in the 2025–26 ESD Learning Programme organized by the UNESCO Hong Kong Association.

The team, comprising 5A Syeda Nimra Imran, 5C Athena Ip, 5D Whywhy Chung, Janice Leung, Heidi Poon, Annabelle Tong, 3B Ng Nok Hei, and 3C Ng Nok Ka, was awarded the Sustainable Development Youth Leaders Award (Secondary Division – Overall Champion) and the Outstanding Presentation Award (Secondary Division – Gender Equality and Girls’ Rights), standing out among competitors from 14 secondary schools.

The adjudicators praised the students’ impressive drama presentation on gender equality, which reflected a vision of a future where gender does not define opportunities or representation in the entertainment industry. Their innovative booth design further highlighted ongoing inequalities — including underrepresentation in leadership roles and pay gaps — while emphasizing the need for equal opportunities and diverse voices in media. The project also underscored the powerful role of the entertainment industry in shaping societal norms, particularly for young women.

CONGRATULATIONS once again to our outstanding team on their dedication to promoting gender equality and sustainable development!

In late March, all Form Five students embarked on an enlightening two-day, one-night CS study tour to Zengcheng. This immersive journey offered a profound exploration of Chinese Mainland’s agricultural advancements, historical narratives, and cultural treasures.

The itinerary commenced at a local high-tech farm where our students observed the vast agricultural landscape and experienced the joy of harvesting fresh cherry tomatoes and blueberries. This hands-on activity served a deeper purpose: it allowed our students to realise the vital importance of safeguarding food security as a pillar of national stability. By witnessing modern farming techniques, they gained a newfound respect for the resources that sustain the country.

The educational journey continued with visits to the Zengcheng City Museum and the renowned Guangzhou Shamian Architectural Complex. Walking through the colonial-era streets of Shamian, the students were able to identify and describe the complex historical background of the city, gaining insights into how Guangzhou’s unique past has shaped its modern identity.

The cultural highlight took place in the ancient Gualing Village. Through interactive workshops, our students engaged in Chinese paper cutting, tie-dying, and the intricate art of lacquer fan making. These tactile experiences encouraged them to appreciate the enduring charisma of Chinese intangible heritage, fostering a deeper connection to their cultural roots. Eventually, the students went to the Memorial Museum of Sun Yat-sen’s Mansion and were also given the opportunity to explore Lingnan culture in the Lingnan Impression Garden, understanding its ties with our cultural identity.

This fruitful study tour to Zengcheng proved to be more than just an excursion. It successfully strengthened our students’ national identity and heightened their awareness of their roles in safeguarding national security, leaving them with fruitful memories and lessons.
