日前，我校非常榮幸邀請到著名作家 趙陽先生 到校主講兩節閱讀與寫作課，同學們皆深受啟發、獲益匪淺！

趙陽先生為中國作家協會會員，曾任香港多間中學的駐校作家，著有《香江記趣》、《香江四季》等多部散文集。他一直致力於提升香港青少年的中文語文素養，並於2022年發起由招商局資助的「1872香港少年作家班」公益項目，親自編寫教材與設計課程大綱。

以下為大家分享3C班區同學的課後感想與反思

【學生學習感言與反思】

「在這個寫作班中，我學到了如何在香港的雜誌報章中閱讀優秀的文章以及寫作方法。同時我也明白到，要寫出一篇好作文，需要從語言、文學和文化三方面思考，從而找出適合題目的切入點；為了增加與題目的共鳴，也要將自己的經歷一併寫進去。

關於「語言」的體會 我明白了掌握語言並不只是知道詞語數量的多寡，而是要理解相似詞語之間的細微分別。 例如「希望」與「希冀」： • 希望：適用於口語及書面語，屬於較基礎的詞語。 • 希冀：更具書面語色彩，意境也更典雅。 例如：『那些回憶的往事，像散發着美好光芒的希冀，閃耀着我的未來。』 從這句話的字裏行間，會明白「希冀」的意境比「希望」更深一層。因此除了掌握豐富詞彙，更要明白當中細微的分別。

關於「文化」的體會 文化方面則是一些歷史故事和趣事。以街道為題，可以介紹街道的命名由來——例如因為錯誤翻譯而將錯就錯成為街名、或是區分中英勢力的地理位置、人名等歷史故事。這樣能使文章除了介紹街道之外，更能加入不同的文化元素，讓內容更加豐富立體！」

Our 43 student leaders have successfully completed their 2-day, 1-night leadership camp at Wong Yi Chau!

Throughout the camp, they tackled tough challenges, pushed past their comfort zones, and demonstrated exceptional teamwork and determination. They are now fully prepared to step up and lead their respective clubs with confidence, vision, and energy this year! 

Our swimming team just completed a 2-day, 1-night training camp!

Across two pool training sessions, a fun team BBQ last night, and a night spent sleeping in the school gym, our swimmers showed incredible perseverance and team spirit. Wishing them the very best as they gear up for the upcoming Inter-school Competition!

32 students from the Volleyball Team have completed the overnight training camp with the Swimming Team. They really showed great passion and teamwork, and the camp helped them get closer as a team. Students were dismissed at noon. In the afternoon, our A-grade students (S5–S6) also finished a friendly match against Buddhist Wong Fung Ling College. It was definitely a memorable and fruitful weekend for our students.

從我到我們：招商局趙陽先生與真光同學同行成長

香港真光中學於9月25日早上舉行一年一度的國慶升旗禮，全校師生齊集大操場，莊嚴高唱國歌，正式揭開本年度國民教育周會的序幕。

今年周會特別邀請招商局趙陽先生擔任分享嘉賓，並以《從我到我們：在同行中探索成長的邊界》為題，帶來深具啟發性的講座。趙先生介紹了招商局的使命與發展歷程，並重點分享「1872青年贏」及「伴你成長 · 招商同行計劃」等青年培育項目。兩位曾參與計劃的同學亦分享她們在作家班及研學團的寶貴經驗。

講座中，趙先生更以自身成長故事，闡述閱讀與寫作如何塑造視野與韌性，激發同學們的思考。現場同學踴躍提問，並向已出版五本散文集的趙先生請益。值得期待的是，趙先生將於未來一個月親臨真光主持寫作班，為同學提供更多啟發與指導。

本次活動不僅展現了師生的愛國情懷，更透過跨界交流，拓展了同學們的視野，為國民教育周會增添深刻意義。

主題：中華文化有意思 —— 漢字之美

漢字不僅是言語思想的載體，更是連結古今的文化橋樑。本年度圖書館閱讀推廣以「中華文化有意思 —— 漢字之美」為核心，旨在帶領學生透過漢字閱讀與跨學科學習，探索文字背後積澱的文化底蘊，引導學生深化文化認同，建立堅實的文化自信。

目標與理念

  從甲骨文、金文到楷書，帶領學生探索文字由圖畫演變為符號的漫長過程，細細體會漢字結構中的幾何韻律與線條之美。

What an unforgettable day at Wan Chai Sports Ground! Our annual Sports Day was packed with incredible energy as students showcased a full spectrum of emotions, unwavering passion, as well as true unity and sportsmanship. From explosive sprints to powerful javelin throws and soaring high jumps, every athlete gave it their all!

Despite the blazing heat—which only seemed to add to the vibrant atmosphere—both athletes and spectators had a wonderful time together. The energy continued to radiate during the Inter-House Cheerleading Competition, where each house brought fantastic spirit and creativity to the performance. To top off the event, we were deeply honored to have Hong Kong karate athlete Mr. Lee Chun Ho join us as our Guest of Honor, enlightening our girls with his wise words on tenacity and diligence.

On a vibrant evening filled with anticipation, the official Opening Ceremony of the 15th TLamp Mentorship Programme successfully brought together an enthusiastic community of alumnae and current S4 plus S5 students on Sep 19. Designed to highlight the vital importance of bonding, networking and foster lifelong personal growth, the event served as a bridge connecting past and future True Light generations.

The Ceremony, kicked off with inspiring opening remarks delivered by the Vice Principal and the Chairlady of the Programme, promoted a mutual understanding between mentors and mentees of how strategic guidance provided by our alumni and shared experiences can accelerate a student’s journey towards personal and career success. Following the formal introduction, the atmosphere shifted to a warm, celebratory gathering as attendees enjoyed a buffet. Over great food, mentors and mentees engaged in spontaneous, meaningful conversations, effortlessly breaking the ice and establishing meaningful connections.

The energy in the room reached its peak during the interactive table games. A lively game of Bingo sparked friendly competition and laughter across the tables, further strengthening the coherent bonding between the alumni and students. By blending structured networking with lighthearted socialization, the 15th TLamp Opening Ceremony did more than just launch a programme; it successfully cultivated a supportive, collaborative community dedicated to mutual growth, setting an optimistic and empowering tone for the mentorship journey ahead this year.

On the same day afternoon, the 14th TLamp Mentorship Programme Closing Ceremony was also successfully held. Following a mentee representative’s heartfelt expression of gratitude to the mentors for their unwavering dedication, the mentors and mentees jointly made a star-shaped handicraft. Artfully designed to echo our school motto – Thou Art the Light of the World – the artifact serves as a poignant reminder that while the 14th programme has officially drawn to a close, the enduring connection between our True Light alumnae and their younger sisters will never fade but does always remain a perpetual source of guidance, inspiration, and brilliance.
